What is the SCR system?<\/h2>
Depending on the technology, SCR can reduce the proportion of nitrogen oxides in the exhaust gas by up to 90%. The SCR system consists of a urea injection pump and a urea filter, which is necessary for its proper functioning. Urea, marketed as AdBlue, is a mixture of demineralised water (67.5%) and urea (32.5%). When dosed and injected into the exhaust stream, this aqueous solution turns into ammonia and causes a chemical reaction in the catalyst.
